Today is the last working day before Eid, 5 days holiday starting tomorrow


The last office of government officials and employees is on Thursday (June 13) before the holy Eid-ul-Azha or Eid-ul-Azha. The five-day holiday is starting from tomorrow Friday (June 14). Government employees will be on vacation till June 18, including weekly and Eid holidays.

The secretariat was normal on the last working day before Eid. From Thursday morning, the normal presence of officials and employees has been seen visiting various ministries.

Ministry of Food, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance have visited various ministries of the Secretariat, the officials and employees are working in other days. Appearance is normal.

The secretariat parking lots were full of cars like any other day. As it is the last working day before Eid, many people are exchanging Eid greetings in advance with their colleagues. Efforts were seen to collect Eid gratuity from the officials of the lift drivers and the guests who came to the secretariat.

The guest reception room between gate number one and two saw a rush of visitors to enter the secretariat just like any other day.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, there will be public holidays on June 16, 17 and 18 (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday). But before the Eid holiday, June 14 and 15 (Friday and Saturday) is a two-day weekend. That’s why the vacation of government officials and employees will start from June 14. They will be on vacation till June 18.

According to the Ministry of Public Administration, there is a general holiday on Eid-ul-Azhar. And on the day before and after Eid, the government officials-employees enjoy government holidays by executive order.

On the other hand, after the Eid-ul-Azhar holiday, government offices will run on a new schedule from June 19. From that day, government officials and employees will work from 9 am to 5 pm as before.
