Toll collection of three and a quarter crore rupees at Bangabandhu Bridge in 24 hours


Traffic pressure is increasing on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway ahead of Eid. This has increased the toll collection rate at Bangabandhu Bridge. As a result, in the last 24 hours, the toll has been collected at the bridge of 3.5 million taka.

On Wednesday (June 12), Bangabandhu Bridge Site Office Executive Engineer Ahsanul Kabir Pavel confirmed the matter.

According to Bangabandhu Bridge site office sources, 28 thousand 401 vehicles crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge from 12:00 PM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday. 2 crore 68 lakh 20 thousand 250 taka has been collected from this. Among them, 14 thousand 280 vehicles cross the eastern part of Bangabandhu Bridge in Tangail. 1 crore 32 lakh 74 thousand 300 taka has been collected from this. And 1 crore 35 lakh 45 thousand 950 taka was collected from 14 thousand 121 vehicles on the western part of the bridge in Sirajganj.

In this regard, Bangabandhu Bridge Site Office Executive Engineer Ahsanul Kabir Pavel said that the number of vehicles is increasing in view of Eid. All preparations have been made to ensure that there is no disruption while crossing the bridge.
