Trees should be planted in Ashad-Shravan-Bhadre to avoid heat wave


Farmers League President Krishak Samir Chand called for planting trees for 3 months in Ashad, Shravan and Bhadra to avoid severe heat wave.

He made this call at the inauguration ceremony of tree plantation program initiated by Khulna District Farmers League on Friday (July 5). Khulna District Farmers League has planted 5000 trees from Paikgacha to Koira in Khulna district as part of the program.

A discussion meeting was held after the plantation. In the speech of the chief guest, the president of Krishak League, agriculturist Sameer Chand said that trees are true friends of people and the environment. Plants provide food, nutrients, and raw materials for medicinal products. Also trees provide pure oxygen to our life. Trees protect us from high temperatures, cyclones and high tides caused by global climate. So let’s respond to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s call and plant trees.

Khulna District Farmers League Acting President Advocate Khan Khorshed Alam presided over and Khulna District Farmers League General Secretary Md.
