Two arrested with 20 train tickets in Dinajpur

The police arrested two members of the ticket black market gang in a raid in Dinajpur. Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farid Hossain gave this information in a press conference on Saturday (June 8) afternoon.

The arrested are Salam Sarkar (35), son of Abdul Monir of Sixth floor area of ​​the city and Sujan (27), son of deceased Madu Mia of Paschimpara of the same area.

At this time, 20 train tickets and five mobile phones were seized from them.

OC said that for a long time a gang including Salam, Sujan had been black-marketing tickets at Dinajpur railway station. They become more active around the Eid journey. They used to sell these tickets at a high price to the passengers. Later on Friday night, the two were arrested. Also, there are 11 other fugitives involved in this gang. A case has also been filed against them.

He also said that the operation to prevent black market of tickets will continue to reduce the suffering of passengers during the Eid journey. And the absconding accused will soon be brought under the law.

At that time Inspector (Investigation) AFM Moniruzzaman Mandal, Sub-Inspector Indra Mohan were present.
