Zimbabwe defeated the world champion India by 115 to 13 runs


Although none of the cricketers from the world champion team were in the Indian team touring Zimbabwe. Yet, it is this team that now represents the Indian national team. After the announcement of retirement of Rohit, Kohli, Jadejad, these cricketers are the future of India.

But Shubman Gill’s team had to face extreme shame while visiting Zimbabwe. The world champions couldn’t win despite restricting the host Zimbabwe to 115 runs. After being bowled out for 102 runs, Sikandar lost to Rajas by 13 runs.

India’s 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe started today at Harare Sports Club ground. Resting the world-winning cricketers, a bunch of budding cricketers led by Shubman Gill have been sent to play this series.

But the Indian cricket team had to die in front of Zimbabwe in the very first match.

After losing the toss and batting first, Zimbabwe managed to collect 115 runs. Ravi Bishnoi’s 4 for 13 in 4 overs kept Zimbabwe from scoring runs. Clive Madande scored the highest unbeaten 29 runs. Dion Myers scored 23 runs, Brian Bennett scored 22 runs.

In response, India lost one wicket after another. If captain Shubman Gill did not score 31 runs, they would have faced more dire consequences. He scored a maximum of 31 runs off 29 balls.

The rest of the batters could not score any runs. Opener Abhishek Sharma is out for zero runs. Rituraj Gaikwad 7, Ryan Parag 2, Rinku Singh out for nil.

Apart from this, Dhruv Jurel 6, Ravi Bishnoi departed after scoring 9 runs. In the end, Washington Sundar scored 27 runs off 34 balls. Abesh Khan scored 16 runs. Among the Zimbabwean bowlers, Tendai Chatara and Sikandar Raja took 3 wickets each. The Zimbabwe captain won the man of the match award.
