Zimbabwe lost to India by a big margin in the second match


Many were surprised by Zimbabwe’s victory by 13 runs despite scoring 115 runs in the first match. The world winning team did not tour Zimbabwe. But this team of India led by Shubman Gill is not less strong. So why did they chase down 115 runs and become all out for 102 runs!

After a day, India brought out its true form. After making a huge score of 234 runs in front of Zimbabwe, they bowled out the hosts for 134 runs and won the match by a margin of 100 runs.

Chasing India’s 234 runs, Zimbabwe lost the wicket of Innocent Kaya and was in danger at the start. However, the Zimbabweans tried to give some answer by relying on the bat of Wesley Madhbir and Brian Bennett.

Wesley Madhbir scored 43 runs off 39 balls. Brian Bennett got out after scoring 26 runs off 9 balls. Zimbabwe went on the backfoot after Brian Bennett was run out by Mukesh Kumar after the team’s 40-run lead. Dion Myers for zero runs, Sikandar Raja is out for 4 runs off Abesh Khan.

Jonathan Campbell was out for 10 runs off 18 balls. Then Clive Madande was out for zero, Wellington Masakadza was out for 1 run. In the last minute, Luke Jongwi scored 33 runs off 26 balls to reduce the margin of defeat. In the end, Zimbabwe were all out for 134 runs in 18.4 overs.

Mukesh Kumar and Abesh Khan took 3 wickets each. Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets and Washington Sundar took 1 wicket.
