A mobile court fined four factories three lakh taka after raiding Charmanikdah village of Gopalganj Sadar upazila. At the same time, these factories have been permanently sealed on various charges including making ice cream with harmful colors.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of Gopalganj Sadar Upazira Executive Officer (UNO) Mohsin Uddin on Tuesday (June 4) evening.

He said that for a long time these unlicensed ice cream factories were making ice cream using harmful colors for the human body. These products had no manufacturing date and no expiry date. For this, the factories have been sealed and fined. Such operations will continue in the future.

He appealed to everyone not to make and market such unauthorized ice cream in the future.

Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Babli Shabnam, Assistant Director of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate Shamim Hasan and members of law enforcement agencies were present in the operation.
