Soumya touched the record of highest call

Due to the poor performance, the supporters jokingly called it Zero Government. The name that fans teased is now about to be established. And only Soumya Sarkar himself is helping it. This top order of Bangladesh has reached the record of most number of calls in international T20.

Bangladesh won by 2 wickets today at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas. Opener Soumya was bowled out for 0 runs after playing 2 balls with the bat. He was caught easily by Wanindu Hasaranga at mid-on off Dhananjaya de Silver.

Soumya called for the 13th time in his T20 career against the Lankans today. In this, he shared the record of highest number of calls in international T20. The left-handed batsman has shouldered half of Ireland’s batsman Paul Stirling’s shame.

Sterling has so far single-handedly held the ignominious record of most calls in T20 Internationals. The Irish batsman made this record by playing 144 innings in this short format cricket.

But Soumya shared this shameful record by playing only 83 innings. In other words, he called once every 6.38 matches.
