In Kaukhali of Pirojpur. Police recovered the body of a madrasa student named Arif Hossain (13).
Arif Hossain is the son of Dalim Hossain of Gwaton village in Sadar Upazila of Jhalkathi district. He is an eighth grade student of Naopara Senior Fazil Madrasa in the same area.
On Saturday (June 8) around 7:30 am, the police recovered the body from the garden of Nana’s house in the village of Dakshin Bara Katijuri of Kaukhali upazila.
The deceased’s uncle Saidul Kabir told Jago News that my nephew Arif came to visit our house from Madrasa last Tuesday. He left home on Friday evening saying Maghrib prayer and did not return home. Later we did not find him at night in different places and assumed that he had gone to the Madrasah. He left home for madrasa many times before without telling anyone.
On Saturday around 7 am, my mother called us to see Arif lying in the garden next to the house. When we went to the garden and saw him lying on the ground with a veil wrapped around his neck, he informed the police. Later the police came and recovered the body and took it to the police station.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaukhali Police Station. Humayun Kabir said, after receiving the information, the police were sent to the spot and the body was recovered. The body will be sent to Pirojpur Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem. A wrongful death case has been filed in this incident.
