The second session of the 12th National Parliament and the first budget session of the current government (FY2024-25) have started.
Wednesday (June 5) at 5 pm Speaker Dr. The session started under the chairmanship of Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.
Before the start of the session, a meeting of the Working Advisory Committee of the Parliament was held at the Parliament House. After the work-advisory committee meeting at 5 pm Speaker Dr. The session started under the chairmanship of Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury. At the outset, a five-member presidium is nominated to run Parliament in the absence of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
The members are – Member of Parliament Captain (retd) AB Tajul Islam, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Shahriar Alam, Salma Islam and Farida Yasmin. They will preside over the Parliament session in the absence of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
