There is no precedent for Awami League finance ministers running around with alms bags

Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the party, has commented that there is no precedent for Awami League finance ministers running around with alms bags despite giving a budget of around 8 lakh crore rupees.

He said this at the post-budget press conference at the central office of Bangabandhu Avenue.

Obaidul Quader said that thousands of crores of rupees were smuggled out of the country during BNP. Mirza Fakhrul must account to the nation for the money with which their leader Tariq Rahman is living a luxurious life in London.

Responding to economists’ comments on budget and loan defaulters, Obaidul Quader said that the country’s economists are now divided. Negative feedback about the budget can be heard from BNP’s economists. Organizations like CPD and TIB also speak in tune with BNP.

However, Obaidul Quader claims that most of the country’s economists have supported the proposed budget.
