While buying drink, the fake money trader was tricked


Subarnachar of Noakhali with two fake notes of one thousand rupees. Police arrested a businessman named Khurshid Alam Swapan (47). The judge sent him to jail when he was handed over to the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court on Sunday (June 9) morning.

Earlier on Saturday (June 8) around 11 pm, he was arrested from the Hat Bazar of Charwapda Union police station of the upazila.

The arrested is the son of deceased Abdul Gofran of Fayez Ullah member house of Batia village of Ward number 7 of Kabirhat upazila of Swapan district.

According to police and local sources, Swapan went to a market shop to buy betel. Meanwhile, he gave a fake note of 1000 taka to the drink seller. Later, when the locals got suspicious, another fake note of 1000 taka was found after searching his body. Locals immediately handed him over to the police with fake notes.

Charjabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Kaushar Alam Bhuiyan told Jago News that a case has been filed against the accused under the Special Powers Act. In that case, when the accused was arrested and handed over to the court, the judge ordered him to be sent to jail.
