Wildlife Olympiad held at Rangamati


Wildlife Olympiad was held in Rangamati with the slogan ‘Smart Youth, Save the Forest’.

Around eight hundred students from various schools and colleges took part in the written exam in the Olympiad held on Saturday (June 8) from morning to noon in the premises of Rangamati Government High School.

Assistant Commissioner of District Administration, Awaleen Khalek, was the chief guest at the workshop and award distribution ceremony organized in the school auditorium under the direction of Wildlife Olympiad District Coordinator Tanya Anyi.

In addition, the special guest was the divisional forest officer. Zahidur Rahman Mia, Rangamati Government High School Principal Sarit Kumar Chakma. Vishal Tripura, student of Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Rangamati University of Science and Technology delivered the welcome speech on the occasion.

Speakers in the meeting said that through this Olympiad, students will get to know better about what can be done to protect the environment and biodiversity. Which will make them more aware of protecting the environment.

The guests presented prizes to three champions and 13 runners-up at the school level and three champions and two runners-up at the college level. District level winners will participate in National Olympiad to be held in Dhaka.
