In Sylhet city, three women and children of the same family were crushed to the ground after the hill collapsed. Also, three people were rescued alive by the fire service and locals.
The incident took place at Majortila Chamelibagh area of Sylhet city at 6 am on Monday (June 10). The names and identities of the immediate casualties were not available.
Sylhet City Corporation Ward No. 35 Councilor Jahangir Alam confirmed the truth of the incident to Jago News.
He said that six members of the same family were crushed to death after the hill collapsed in Chamelibhag area. Among them, one brother, his wife and daughter were rescued. Another brother and his wife and children are still trapped. Fire service, police and local people are working to rescue the injured.
