Foundation stone laying of new building of Directorate of Livestock


The Minister of Fisheries and Livestock has laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 10-storey, 8-storey main building with 2 basements in the premises of the Directorate of Livestock at a cost of Tk 82.45 million under the capacity strengthening project of the Department of Livestock. The foundation stone of the new building of the Department of Livestock was laid at Khamarbari in the capital on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Livestock Minister said that the Prime Minister is working to fulfill Bangabandhu’s dream of building this nation and country with all his heart, mind, soul and love. The Prime Minister always thinks about the country, thinks about the people of the country, thinks about the animals. Prime Minister wants to take this country to such a height from where this country will never turn back, this country will move forward.

The Livestock Minister also said that if the eight departments of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock can work together as per the plan, then we can give what the Prime Minister expects from us. He expressed hope that the building will make a special contribution to the development of infrastructural development and expansion of the Department of Livestock and the improvement of the working environment and efficiency of the officers/employees of the Department.

Note that the area of ​​the building is about 1 (one) lakh square feet. The building has two basements. Besides, there will be a multipurpose hall for 220 people, a conference room for 60 people, a computer lab for 25 people, and a training room for 60 people.

Tofazzel Hossain and Additional Secretary A.T.M. Mustafa Kamal gave a speech on the occasion.
