Police have arrested a teacher named Faizul Islam (46) on the charge of raping a class 5 student in Bayezid police station area of Chittagong city. The rape incident took place last Saturday. Bayezid Bostami police arrested the teacher on Sunday. On Sunday, he was sent to prison on the orders of the court.
Bayezid Police Station OC Sanjoy Kumar Sinha confirmed this to Jago News on Monday.
The arrested Faizul Islam Bayezid is the headmaster of Shershah Government Primary School under Bostami police station, said the OC. The arrested Faizul is the son of Hamid Ali of Sonarkhil village of East Chambal under Banskhali police station of Chittagong.
The OC said the victim’s mother is a worker. The victim student used to study privately with the arrested headmaster, Faizul. On this occasion, Faizul raped the victim by drinking water mixed with anesthetic while going to private study at Faizul’s house last Saturday. Later, the victim’s mother returned home and filed a written complaint at the police station after learning about the matter. Following his complaint, Faizul was arrested. When he was produced in court on Sunday, the judge ordered him to be sent to jail.
