Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Narendra Modi on the victory of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance-NDA in India’s 18th Lok Sabha elections.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a letter on Tuesday (June 4).

This information was informed in a press release on Wednesday (June 5).

In the letter, Sheikh Hasina said, “On behalf of the people of Bangladesh and myself, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to you for the absolute victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA in the 18th Lok Sabha elections.”

The Prime Minister said that your decisive victory is one of the proofs of the trust and faith of the people of India in your leadership, commitment and steadfast sacrifice for the country. He further said, I assure you that Bangladesh will work together for the development of the people of both countries as well as for a prosperous and peaceful region as one of India’s most trusted friends.

He extended his best wishes to the people of India for continued peace, progress and prosperity.

Addressing Modi, Sheikh Hasina said, I look forward to working closely with you in the coming days.
