In the case of amusement park and theme park services, it is proposed to fix the tax rate at 15 percent instead of the existing rate of 7.5 percent. Besides, Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali has proposed to withdraw the existing tax exemption on tour operator services.
He proposed this in the 2024-25 budget speech in the National Parliament on Thursday (June 6).

If this proposal is passed, you will have to pay extra money to visit any amusement park in the country. Even if you go for a package tour in the country or abroad with the services of a tour operator, the cost is increasing.
The Finance Minister has proposed a budget of Tk 7 lakh 97 thousand crore for the financial year 2024-25 in the National Parliament. The revenue target has been set at 5 lakh 41 thousand crores. Of this, the target of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) is Tk 4 lakh 80 thousand crores.
