A man named Habibur Rahman aka Habul Sardar (33) was killed by the stabbing of his uncle in Pabna.
The incident took place in Daspara village of Chartarapur Union of Sadar Upazila at around 7:30 pm on Thursday (June 6).
The deceased Habibur Rahman is the son of Makched Sardar of that village. Accused Siraj Sardar is the son of Hamid Ali Sardar of the same village. Habibur’s father and Siraj Sardar are related cousins.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station Roshan Ali confirmed the truth of the incident.
Locals said that Habibur Rahman’s goat destroyed the crops of his uncle Siraj Sardar’s field on Thursday. There was a quarrel between them. Later it turned into a fight. At one point, uncle Siraj Sardar got excited and stabbed Habibur Rahman. He died on the spot.
OC Roshan Ali said that they left for the spot after receiving the news. Details will be given upon arrival.
