An unidentified youth (35) was killed after being hit by a train in Tejgaon Karuran Bazar Shutki Patti area of the capital.
The accident happened on Tuesday (June 11) around 10:30 am.
Tejgaon police sub-inspector (SI) Habibur Rahman said that a young man was rescued in a bloody condition from the Karwan Bazar railway line area. Later, when he was taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor declared him dead.
He also said that the young man was seriously injured by the train while crossing the railway line. His identity is not yet known, efforts are underway to find out the details. The body has been kept in the emergency department morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The matter has been reported to the Railway Police.
