They used to rob on test motorcycles in police identity


In the incident of robbery of 1 lakh 60 thousand taka using motorcycle written on police identity. A person named Humayun Kabir has been arrested by Sher Bangla Nagar police station of DMP.

Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) HM Azimul Haque said this in a press conference at his office on Tuesday (June 11).

He said Aynal Haque and his friend Alam came to Kalyanpur by bus from Natore on June 3 morning. He got down at the bus stand and was waiting for the car to go to Bangabazar. Suddenly a man came and identified himself as DB police and said, drug recovery operation is going on and you will be searched.

At that time, the person identified by the DB Police sent Alam that his sir was on the other side of the road. And because he has another sir in front of him, Aynal was taken to the front of the National Eye Hospital in Sher Bangla Nagar Thana area by motorcycle. Later he showed the knife in his hand and ran away with 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees which was with Aynal. In this incident Aynal Haque filed a case in Sher Bangla Nagar police station.

He also said that the Sherebangla police station investigated and analyzed the CCTV footage of the incident site and the surrounding area and arrested Humayun Kabir from Harintana police station area in Khulna. At that time, 1 lakh 40 thousand taka stolen from him and the motorcycle used in the incident were recovered.

About the strategy of the crime, the DC said that the arrested Humayun Kabir had bought a new motorcycle without number plate and had been robbing it in different places of Dhaka for a long time by hanging ‘on test’ stickers. He uses motorcycles without number plates as a novel strategy to avoid being identified.

This police officer also said that Humayun Kabir has been sent to court in the case filed at Sher Bangla Nagar police station.
